Who We Are

We are a nonprofit organization established in 2014 for the purposes of growing beards (not required), having fun (required), and raising money for veterans while doing so. We will donate the first $1000.00, known as the Brian Smith Memorial Grant,  every year to a local Michigan veteran service organization in need. Past recipients have included Stiggy’s Dogs, and Victory Gym Veterans Health Club. We plan to raise money by offering Winter of the Beard membership packages, Events, Grants, and our Facebook photo scavenger hunt. The Winter of the Beard photo challenges start in late autumn, and run until mid-winter.
